Due to the sensitivity and risk associated with  data and modern devices/systems, data destruction and sanitation can be more of a consideration than one might have thought. As with data recovery, the opposite applies with data destruction – although the two are closely linked. A simple deletion, i.e. an emptying of a recycle bin, is simply not enough as that data can in most cases be restored.
